How do we handle visitors?
Our community is not a public place where you can visit at any time. However, we are happy to see you at one of our public events; check out our Facebook page. If you wish to visit us outside of an event, you need a patron – a person who will guide you, provide necessary information, and generally be responsible for your stay. You can get a patron by contacting someone from our community; if you don’t know anyone, write to us on Facebook or email: [email protected].
If we don’t respond immediately, it might be because we don’t have the capacity or are in hibernation. Maybe another time will work. Thank you for your understanding 🙂
Cost of Stay:
We ask for an amount between 600,- and 900,- per day for your stay. This includes accommodation, food, and a contribution to the community (detailed below). Often, the community contribution (200,-) can be worked off by doing something the community needs. Ask your patron for details.
Guidelines for Your Stay:
Please respect our culture of coexistence and our space as a home:
- Personal Space and Belongings: Respect personal space and the belongings of others. Always ask for permission before borrowing something or approaching someone, especially regarding emotional topics.
- Zero Waste: We strive to live zero-waste, meaning we avoid packaging and unnecessary waste. We ask you to do the same; please do not bring unnecessary packaging. If you come with a plastic bottle, please take it back with you, perhaps filled with kombucha 🙂
- Waste Sorting: We carefully sort our waste, producing minimal mixed waste.
- Food Sources: We carefully select food sources, considering the conditions in which they were grown and transported. For ethically questionable items, we decide whether to use them and from whom to source them. In our package-free shop, you can find select BirdSong coffee, cashews, cocoa, chocolate, and other exotic treats from Bionebio, etc. Please consider the food you bring, or buy directly from us, from good sources.
- Plant-based Diet: Given that even organic certifications often do not guarantee good treatment of animals, we choose plant-based foods. Please do not bring any animal products.
- No Drugs or Alcohol: Please do not bring drugs or alcohol; smoking is allowed in designated areas, with the consent of others present.
- Gifts: If you wish to leave something as a gift (food, clothes, etc.), please ensure it is welcomed by the community.
- Cleanliness: As we share the space, it’s essential to clean up after ourselves immediately and not leave personal items or dishes in shared spaces. We strive to leave the space better than we found it.
- Private Areas: Do not enter areas marked ‘Private’ without an invitation.
- Yurt Area: Do not enter the yurt area unless you are staying there or participating in an event.
